Having recently been completed further to an almost complete development rebuild. The apartments are set in exceptionally well maintained private gardens and have the benefit of a quiet and secluded situation, yet only a short walk away from the Hinchley Wood village centre. Gibson Court has the added benefit of a Resident Manager, Guest Suite, Residents Lounge and Laundry with residents and visitors parking. Hinchley Wood is well served by public transport links with a regular bus service to Claygate and Esher in one direction and Surbiton and Kingston in the other. In addition Hinchley Wood Station has fast train links both in to London and out to Guilford. Kingston-Upon-Thames is within easy reach with a full range of high street stores including Bentalls and John Lewis department stores, cinemas and theatre. Its idyllic setting on the River Thames gives Kingston traditional riverside walks and a vibrant riverside café culture. Riverboats sail both to Hampton Court and Richmond during the summer months. Despite its proximity to London, Hinchley Wood still retains its feeling of community and makes Gibson Court an ideal retirement choice.

The development is walking aid and wheelchair friendly, with the possible exception of one or two areas where there might be access difficulties and assistance required. Some assistance may be required to open the communal porch and main entrance doors as these are not automated, nor are the laundry, Residents’ lounge and refuse room doors. Shallow steps from the Residents’ lounge give easy access to the grassed garden and communal patio area, however for those with a wheelchair, there is currently no ramp and no other means from the interior of the development to get into the rear garden. For those with a mobility scooter or considering one in the future, a hardstanding and charge points have been fitted, however there is limited space and enquiries should be made with the House Manager to see if there is a free space. A good selection of local shops are only a short level walk or mobility scooter drive away and should be accessible to those residents using a walking aid.
