The development is walking aid and wheelchair friendly, with the possible exception of one or two areas where there might be access difficulties and assistance required. Some assistance may be required to open the communal porch and main entrance doors as these are not automated, nor are the laundry and Residents’ lounge doors. Doors to the rear of the Residents’ lounge / conservatory give easy access to the communal patio and grassed garden area however for those with a wheelchair, there is currently no ramp and no other means without assistance from the interior of the development to get into the rear garden. For those with a mobility scooter or considering one in the future, there is covered parking located towards the development car park where it can be stored, however there is limited space and enquiries should be made with the House Manager to see if there is a free space. See development floor plan for location of covered parking. Kingston high street is a fairly long and uneven walk or mobility scooter drive away, making it difficult for those with walking aids.
